BEIRUT (Lebanon) –FIBA Regional Office-Asia was notified less than GD-2 by Al Wahda SC of Syria that they had failed to procure the necessary permissions from the authorities to travel to their 2025-26 FIBA WASL West Asia League game against Shahrdari Gorgan of Iran – scheduled to be hosted by the latter in Tehran on Thursday November 20, 2025.
Accordingly, the Al Wahda Vs. Gorgan game is forfeited. Consequently, Gorgan will be awarded two points while Al Wahda will be deprived of receiving any points.
Al Wahda will continue their journey in 2025-26 FIBA WASL – West Asia League with an away game against Sagesse of Lebanon in Beirut on Dec 11.
