STOCKHOLM (Sweden) - Another memorable FIBA U18 Women's EuroBasket is in the rear-view mirror and there was a lot to love, including some outstanding individual performances across the competition.

Somto Okafor - Spain

She landed in Sweden with a big reputation as a prominent name on the pre-tournament watch list and produced the goods for the champions. Okafor was crowned MVP as Spain roared their way to success. She showed class on both ends of the floor, leading in scoring and showing leadership by setting the tone for the podium-toppers.
Astrid Courbot - France
Small Forward

The play and contributions of Courbot were central in helping her nation extend their U18 medal streak to six in six editions. Finishing on the All-Star Five and as the leading scorer for her team, it was a reward for her versatility and work rate which ran alongside her scoring punch, propelling France to the title game as they finished runners-up.
Anna Gardziella - Finland

The leader for Finland as they celebrated taking the final step on the podium, Gardziella brought the noise in a big way for her team - not least with an eye-popping 28 points and 12 boards in the Third Place Game. Excellent from long-range and on the glass, she showed how much of an all-around game she has and took All-Star Five honors.
Olivia Vukosa - Croatia

An extraordinary player, Vukosa lived up to her top billing with a truly monstrous display. She broke the all-time scoring record with a spectacular 46 points against Czechia. She had six double-doubles in seven games, broke the average efficiency record and was named to the All-Star Five to underline why she's heading to UConn.
Laura Vilcinskas - Belgium

Showing that she could soon be a regular option for the senior Cats, Vilcinskas was a tour de force on both ends of the floor for Belgium. Her strength inside made her a real matchup headache. She led the tournament in blocks and departed the competition having logged a super tournament double-double and an All-Star Five spot.
Shaila Nde - Spain

While her teammate Somto Okafor was named MVP and pulled the strings in the backcourt, Nde took care of business in the frontcourt. It isn't always about scoring contributions; often about a lot more. The center was a leader on defense and her minutes played speak volumes about what an anchor she was for the champions.
Camille Sevaux - France

Only just missing out on an All-Star Five slot in her run to the Final with second-placed France, Sevaux caught the eye with some excellent displays, particularly 14 points and 11 boards in the Semi-Final clash with Finland. She led France in efficiency, rebounding and blocks.
Zuzanna Marczynska - Poland
Forward
Birth Date: January 17, 2008 (18 years old) Height: 1.83m (6ft 0in) Tournament Stats: 19.0 EFF, 15.6 PPG, 8.4 RPG
A huge presence throughout, the forward finished third in the competition for efficiency and that a strong light on her great work. Taking Poland to a top-six finish, she shot the ball well and came within touching distance of a tournament double-double.
Anastasija Jovanov - Serbia

The playmaker showed her potential from the first jump-ball as a possible future senior team player for Serbia. Calm, assured and a real leader, she was ultimately impacted by an injury as she helped Serbia into the Semi-Finals. She led her country in scoring, steals and even rebounds, despite playing point guard.
Marta Plorina - Latvia
Forward
Birth Date: August 19, 2008 (17 years old) Height: 1.80m (5ft 10in) Tournament Stats: 16.0 EFF, 12.4 PPG, 7.1 RPG, 53.0% FG
The forward was a constant for Latvia as they made the Quarter-Finals of the competition. Plorina shot the ball so well that she finished with the best field goal percentage in the whole tournament. But she was about much more than that, doing a good job on the glass and defensively too.
