    The American forward was a key contributor in her team’s run to an eighth FIBA U16 Women’s AmeriCup title.

    IRAPUATO (Mexico) - Ivanna Wilson was named Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the FIBA U16 Women’s AmeriCup 2025 after leading the United States to its eighth gold medal in the category. The 16-year-old shined in the championship game against Canada (85–59), posting a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds, along with 4 blocks.

    Wilson, who plays at Bullis School, was the tournament’s leading scorer, averaging 18.0 points per game. She also contributed 7.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 3.8 steals, and 1.2 blocks across six contests. Here’s the rest of the All-Star Five:

    Belén Velázquez (MEX) – Point guard

    The Mexican floor general led the host nation to a historic result, earning a spot in the FIBA U17 Women’s Basketball World Cup and claiming the bronze medal for just the second time. She averaged 11.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 3.3 steals per game.

    Avery Arije (CAN) – Shooting guard

    Arije was a standout performer for Canada, which finished as runner-up. She averaged 13.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 2.0 steals per game.

    Keren Bertel (COL) – Forward

    The Colombian forward played a key role in helping her team secure a World Cup berth. Bertel posted averages of 7.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.3 steals.

    Eve Long (USA) – Forward

    The American player earned her spot in the All-Star Five with averages of 11.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.3 steals. All-Tournament Second Team:
