Which clubs have the most wins in FIBA Europe Cup history?

    Review

The competition is entering its 12th season for the upcoming 2026-27 campaign.

MUNICH (Germany) - There have been over 120 clubs representing 39 different countries in the history of FIBA Europe Cup, with nine different champions.

But which clubs have recorded the most wins across the 11 seasons of the competition?

    5. Varese (ITA) - 37 wins

Willie Cauley-Stein was part of the 2023-24 season roster

Seasons played: 3 Overall record: 37-17 Best finish: Runners-up (2016)

One of the O.G teams, Varese were among the 56-team lineup for the inaugural season, and went all the way to the Final Four - beating hosts Elan Chalon in the Semi-Finals, before a Final defeat against Fraport Skyliners.

The Italian side returned in the 2018-19 season, and racked up 13 wins on their way to another Semi-Final appearance. They would then repeat the feat in the 2023-24 edition with another run to the last four.

    4. Bahcesehir College (TUR) - 41 wins

Jamar Smith announced his playing retirement this summer

Seasons played: 3 Overall record: 41-9 Best finish: Champions (2022)

Two-time finalists, Bahcesehir College lifted the crown in 2022, before coming up short of becoming the first team to win multiple titles when they lost in the 2024 Finals.

One of 13 clubs from Türkiye to have played in the competition, Bahcesehir made their debut campaign in the curtailed 2019-20 season having made it to the last four. They went all the way upon their return two seasons later - with 17 wins in 18 games - with Jamar Smith leading the way as Finals MVP.

    3. Bilbao Basket (ESP) - 43 wins

Seasons played: 3 Overall record: 43-9 Best finish: Champions (2025, 2026)

It's no surprise to see back-to-back champions Bilbao among the winningest clubs in FIBA Europe Cup. The history-makers have an impressive 82.7 win percentage - higher than any other club to have played a minimum of 30 games.

Bilbao recorded 13 wins in their debut season, before losing to eventual champions NINERS Chemnitz in the Semi-Finals. They then proceeded to put together consecutive title runs with plenty of drama and incredible victories along the way - beating Greek side PAOK in both Finals.

    2. CSM CSU Oradea (ROU) - 50 wins

Kris Richard is the only member of FIBA Europe Cup's 1000-point club

Seasons played: 8 Overall record: 50-39 Best finish: 3rd place (2021)

No team has played more games in the competition's history than the Romanian side, having been ever-present since the 2018-19 campaign. Oradea brought up their half century in wins last season as they came up short of reaching the Quarter-Finals.

FIBA Europe Cup all-time leading scorer Kris Richard has been at the forefront of their European ventures, and Oradea made it to the Final Four in the adjusted 2020-21 season - securing third place with a win over Parma.

    1. Bakken Bears (DEN) - 52 wins

    Seasons played: 7 Overall record: 52-36 Best finish: Semi-Finals (2018, 2020, 2022)

Top of the list. Perennial Danish champions, Bakken Bears have been their country's sole representative in FIBA Europe Cup with a total of 52 wins from 88 games played. They were part of the inaugural lineup, and became the first club to reach the Semi-Finals on three separate occasions in 2022.

Bakken haven't been able to get past the last four stage, but have been consistent performers with long-serving stalwarts such as Michel Diouf and Darko Jukic at the top of the all-time stats categories.

And, in the midst of the Basketball Champions League Qualifying Tournaments, at least one of Bakken and Oradea will be back to add to their win tallies.
