MUNICH (Germany) - The FIBA Europe Cup 2026-27 season began with the first leg of the Qualifiers on Wednesday night.
Neftchi SC, BC Prievidza and Dinamo Bucharest bagged wins to gain an early advantage, with the winners of each two-legged tie advancing to the Regular Season.
There will also be an additional spot to be filled by the best-ranked losing club.
Neftchi to take commanding lead into the second leg
Neftchi SC secured a deserved 80-67 home win over BC Parnu in the first-leg tie in Baku.
The hosts led from the midpoint of the first quarter and never relented, with Shakael Pryce leading the way with 21 points for Neftchi.
Klavs Dubults amassed 21 points to lead Parnu, who will look to overturn a 13-point deficit at home next Wednesday.
Prievidza take vital road win against Samobor
Slovakian side BC Prievidza overpowered KK Samobor 103-83 in Zagreb to take a convincing advantage to the home leg next Wednesday.
After a bright start from the Croatian side, Prievidza regrouped to take a lead with 3:39 left and never looked back, stretching their lead to as many as 25 points.
Jared Coleman-Jones paced Prievidza with 21 points on 8-for-9 shooting. Glen Burns had a game-high 22 for Samobor.
Dinamo Bucharest power to big victory
Dinamo Bucharest took an early 16-point lead and never let up as they beat KB Peja 96-58.
The Romanian side led for most of the game, with DJ Burns leading the team with 16 points and 11 boards. Derrick Marks also had 16 for the winners.
Robert Smith and Xavier Johnson had 11 apiece for Peja, who face an uphill battle in the second leg when they head on the road.
