Clubs announced for 2026-27 FIBA Europe Cup season

    The field for the upcoming FIBA Europe Cup has beenset

    The new competition format will see the lineup increase to 48 teams.

    MUNICH (Germany) - The lineup for the 2026-27 FIBA Europe Cup season has been announced, with clubs from across the continent represented in the upcoming campaign.

    A total of 30 clubs have registered directly for the competition, while a further 21 clubs have opted in from the Basketball Champions League, meaning they would enter the FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season if they do not advance through the BCL Qualification Rounds.

    The following clubs have opted in: BC Vienna (AUT); Landau Lions (AZE); BC Rilski Sportist (BUL); Petrolina AEK Larnaca (CYP); BK Opava (CZE); Bakken Bears (DEN); Manchester Basketball (GBR); BC Batumi (GEO); RASTA Vechta (GER); FF Wurzburg (GER); Kolossos Rhodos (GRE); Promitheas Patras (GRE); VEF Riga (LAT); Dziki Warszawa (POL); SL Benfica (POR); CSM Oradea (ROU); Fribourg Olympic Basket (SUI); Geneva Lions (SUI); Levicki Patrioti (SVK); Yukatel Merkezefendi (TUR); Manisa Basket (TUR).

    A total of 24 clubs will enter the Regular Season directly either as a national champions or based on the position of National Federations in the Club Competitions ranking as per the FIBA Europe Cup Regulations.

    Meanwhile, an additional six clubs will compete in the Qualifiers with the winner of each pairing over two legs earning a spot in the Regular Season.

    Additional spots may open up, should any of the opt-in clubs qualify for the Basketball Champions League.

    Those places would be filled by the best-ranked losing clubs in the FIBA Europe Cup Qualifiers, in accordance with the Official Basketball Rules. Both draws for the Qualifiers and Regular Season will take place in Munich, Germany on Thursday, July 16.
