MUNICH (Germany) – Dutch wizard Yannick Franke weaved more magic throughout January, leading the Aliaga Petkimspor star to the Player of the Month award.
Franke has been in marvellous form since the turn of the year - averaging 23.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists, while going a combined 9-for-15 from three-point range, which has led the Turkish debutants to an unbeaten 2-0 record in January.
Plus, his stats for the month have earned him a whopping 31.0 for efficiency as the FIBA Europe Cup newcomers look to close in on a Quarter-Final spot.
Coming off a solid 24 points, four rebounds and four assists in Aliaga Petkimspor’s 98-75 win in the final game of 2025 against Casademont Zaragoza, Franke brought in 2026 emphatically.
The shooting guard went 9-for-11 from the field for 29 points, along with six rebounds and six assists in his side’s 82-61 victory over Peristeri Betsson.
Franke then followed that with 18 points, six rebounds and three steals in Petkimspor’s 82-70 success over Dinamo BDS Sassari.
This season, the Dutchman has averaged 20.4 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists, shooting an impressive 50 percent from the floor and 47.9 percent from three-point land.
