Regular Season preview: Who will be favorites to advance?

We've picked out 10 players to keep an eye out for during the Regular Season.

    Melwin Pantzar (Surne Bilbao Basket)

    SHOOTING GUARD

Birth Date: Apr 10, 2000 (25 years old) Height: 188 cm / 6'2" Nationality: SWE

Last season's FIBA Europe Cup Finals MVP returns to the holders Surne Bilbao Basket with hopes of lifting the trophy again. Pantzar averaged 18 points, shooting 45 percent from the floor in the two-legged victory over PAOK, where he was composed, played multiple positions across the floor, and was the leader in Bilbao's success.

And this summer just gone, he was one of the key standouts for Sweden at FIBA EuroBasket 2025; averaging 9.8 points, 3.7 assists, and going an impressive 52.4 percent from three-point land. He moved well off the ball, showed tremendous confidence in shooting the ball when given space and found his teammates in the correct positions for scores.

    Dylan Ennis (UCAM Murcia)

    SHOOTING GUARD

Birth Date: Dec 26, 2001 (23 years old) Height: 188 cm / 6'1" Nationality: CAN

After narrowly missing out on a spot in this season's Basketball Champions League, UCAM Murcia will be one of the stronger teams in this season's competition, led by versatile guard Dylan Ennis - who is back for a third successive season with the Spanish club.

Ennis is a high-volume scorer when needed, a solid rebounder, and a passer. He's also a capable defender who brings intensity and energy to the team. Once overly reliant on his three-point shooting, he has added a more focused and attacking mindset to his game, so look for Ennis to get opponents in the front court into foul trouble through his drives to the basket.

    Javian Davis (FC Porto)

    FORWARD

Birth Date: Sep 9, 1999 (26 years old) Height: 205 cm / 6'8" Nationality: USA

A strong forward who can score in high volume consistently, Javian Davis will be the offensive kingpin for the FC Porto team, which has performed well in previous FIBA Europe Cup competitions. Last season, they were edged out of Quarter-Final contention, and the season before, they were knocked out in the last eight.

Davis was ranked third in scoring during the Basketball Champions League Qualifiers, averaging 23 points and pulling down 9.5 rebounds a game. Once he gets close to the basket, it's either a bucket or a trip to the foul line.

    Tomas Dimsa (PAOK BC)

    GUARD

Birth Date: Jan 2, 1994 (31 years old) Height: 196 cm / 6'5" Nationality: LTU

Tomas Dimsa is a player who can score in a variety of ways and can be a match-up nightmare for his opponents. The Lithuanian veteran joins last season's FIBA Europe Cup runners-up, PAOK, bringing experience from having won this competition previously, having been part of the Fraport Skyliners side that won the inaugural event in 2016.

But despite a nearly 16-year professional career, Dimsa can still be a problem for any team on any given night. He averaged 15 points and 3 assists for PAOK in the Basketball Champions League Qualifiers.

    Trae Bell-Haynes (Casademont Zaragoza)

    POINT GUARD

Birth Date: Sep 5, 1995 (30 years old) Height: 188 cm / 6'2" Nationality: CAN

Trae Bell-Haynes will once again be one of the offensive juggernauts for Casademont Zaragoza. The Canadian guard led the team in last season's competition, averaging 14.3 points and 5.8 assists a game, leading the Spaniards to the Quarter-Finals.

A player who thrives in transition, Bell-Haynes loves to use his quickness to drive to the rim for easy scores with his shooting touch secondary. He possesses good court vision at both ends, especially on the defensive end, where he got 1.3 steals in the FIBA Europe Cup last season, making him an exciting watch.

    Tevin Mack (PGE Start Lublin)

    GUARD

Birth Date: May 1, 1997 (28 years old) Height: 207 cm / 6'7" Nationality: USA

A proven scorer and someone who can hurt you in many different ways, Tevin Mack has good range, but prefers to drive to the basket and get his defender into foul trouble early. The American has confidence oozing out of him.

Mack was second in points per game for the Polish side in the Basketball Champions League Qualifiers, putting up 26 points along with 5 boards in the loss against UCAM Murcia.

    Ty Nichols (Peristeri BC)

    POINT GUARD

Birth Date: Oct 13, 1996 (29 years old) Height: 191 cm / 6'3" Nationality: USA

A dominant presence for Patrioti Levice last season; averaging 19.2 points, 6.3 assists and 4 rebounds, Ty Nichols often takes smart shots, and creating space for himself to get those attempts off. His shooting percentage of 47.2 percent from the field and an even more impressive 48.4 percent from three-point land during the Regular Season reflected that.

Now moving on to Greece and Peristeri BC, Nichols will be terrorizing defenses again. A player who can score in a multitude of ways as well as be vocal on the defensive side, Nichols will be a true nightmare for the opposition.

    Joshua Obiesie (Basketball Lowen Braunschweig)

    GUARD

Birth Date: May 23, 2000 (25 years old) Height: 198 cm / 6'5" Nationality: GER

Joshua Obiesie scored 20 points and pulled down 8 rebounds in Braunschweig's sole Basketball Champions League Qualifier, an 81-74 loss to Bursaspor Basketbol. A brief glimpse into what we could see from the athletic two-way guard in the FIBA Europe Cup, who posted 12.2 points per game for Dijon last season.

The 25 year old will look to form a potent duo with Swedish international Barra Nije, who is coming off a solid FIBA EuroBasket, where he averaged 7.7 points and a shade under 4 assists a game.

    Emmanuel Lecomte (CS Valcea 1924)

    POINT GUARD

Birth Date: Aug 16, 1995 (30 years old) Height: 180 cm / 5'10" Nationality: BEL

Emmanuel Lecomte made a name for himself at the recent FIBA EuroBasket; now, he aims to put FIBA Europe Cup debutants CS Valcea 1924 in the spotlight. If his exploits in Katowice are anything to go by, the Romanian side could be a fun team to watch.

The crafty point guard led the Belgians with 14.4 points per game at EuroBasket, including the infamous game-winning pull-up jumper against the hosts, Poland.

    Duke Deen (Bakken Bears)

    POINT GUARD

Birth Date: Dec 17, 2001 (23 years old) Height: 172 cm / 5'7" Nationality: USA

Don't let Duke Deen's height fool you. He might be 5'7", but the American is freakishly athletic and, when given the opportunity, can light up an opposition from three-point range.

Proof of this is when Deen went 6-for-11 from three-point range in the Final of one of the Basketball Champions League Qualifying Tournaments against Patrioti Levice. Deen averaged 15.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists across the three games and will be a fun player to watch in the FIBA Europe Cup.
