MUNICH (Germany) - As the road to FIBA EuroBasket 2029 continues, these players will aim to keep their paths going.
With the teams eliminated from the FIBA Basketball World Cup joining the fray, along with the teams that advanced from the First Round, here’s who will be aiming to make their mark.
Iffe Lundberg – Denmark
GUARD
Birth Date: Dec 4, 1994 (31 years old) Height: 193 cm / 6'4" Team: Maccabi Tel Aviv (ISR)
Iffe Lundberg makes his return to the Denmark national side more than a year after his last appearance at the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers, where he averaged 17.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.4 assists. He will lead Denmark in a tricky group that also features Bulgaria and Romania.
Lundberg will bring a high basketball IQ and offensive prowess to the Danes ahead of their home clash with Romania.
Nenad Dimitrijevic – North Macedonia

Another player returning to the national fold to further improve a North Macedonia side, which went a flawless 6-0 in the First Round of Pre-Qualifiers is guard Nenad Dimitrijevic.
He exploded for 43 points, going 7-for-15 in the EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers against Lithuania, which helped him average 26.2 points over five games and showed what he will bring to a team that has also added in Moses Wright, who is set to debut.
Umoja Gibson – Bulgaria

Umoja Gibson is among the many players set to make his national team debut in this window, having recently inked a deal with Barcelona for this season. He will have a chance to show his crafty and efficient style of play on the court, where his movement off the ball allows him to find an open shot, which he will be tasked with doing for Bulgaria, where they will face Romania on Sunday.
David DeJulius - Slovakia

A free-scoring guard who can put points up in a hurry. Slovakia’s David DeJulius returns to the national team fold following a lengthy injury layoff. He averaged 26 points, 3 rebounds and 7 assists in the First Round of the Pre-Qualifiers and is looking to continue where he left off before he suffered his foot injury.
A proven scorer who can create his own shot, DeJulius thrives on reading ball screens and using his blistering pace to score, either by attacking the basket or settling for the jump shot.
Amari Williams – Great Britain
FORWARD

Armari Williams makes his Great Britain debut this summer, having last played for the national side in 2019 for the Under-18s. The talented forward will add a physical inside presence to the GB team as it faces Switzerland and Slovakia in its upcoming window.
Williams is coming off an NBA season where he is still finding his feet, but as he represents his country this summer, he will have a chance to impress GB fans – and the Boston Celtics. These Pre-Qualifiers will also see the competitive debuts of Tosan Evbuomwan and Tobi Lawal.
Harald Frey – Norway

Harald Frey is undoubtedly Norway's key player, having averaged 19.7 points and 7.3 assists in the EuroBasket Pre-Qualifiers First Round. In the first window, he led Norway with 35 points, 4 rebounds, and 7 assists in their win over Armenia, and his all-around ability to influence a game will be vital to his side's progression in what will be a tough group with Czechia and Belgium.
Ondrej Sehnal – Czechia
GUARD

One of Czechia’s veterans returns to a side that has been plagued by injuries over the course of the last year; Ondrej Sehnal will have the spotlight of the nation placed on him during these Pre-Qualifiers, as Czechia will be without its talisman Tomas Satoransky.
In four games during the World Cup Qualifiers, Sehnal averaged 16.3 points and 6.5 assists per game, and he will bring much-needed experience to the Czech side at the guard spot in a tough group that features Belgium and Norway.
Vrenz Bleijenbergh - Belgium
POWER FORWARD

Like Sehnal, Vrenz Bleijenbergh will be tasked with leading a Belgium side without its marquee players, but the crafty power forward will be up to the task and has already proven that he is one of Belgium’s standout players, bringing a strong inside presence.
Bleijenbergh averaged 14.5 points per game in the World Cup Qualifiers, and his improvement has been clear over the years; he played only cameo minutes when he first joined the senior side in 2019, with early signs of his efficiency coming in the EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers.
