MANAGUA (Nicaragua) – With the Group Phase in the rearview mirror after Tuesday’s action, the FIBA AmeriCup 2025 Quarter-Finals slate is now set. United States (2-1) finished atop Group A by point differential in a triple tie with Uruguay and Brazil. All three countries are moving on to the next round. In Group B, undefeated Canada (3-0) finished in first place, followed by Puerto Rico (2-1). Dominican Republic (3-0) won Group C, with Argentina (2-1) finishing in second place and Colombia (1-2) advancing as the other best third-place team. AmeriCup Quarter-Finals are taking place on Thursday, August 28, and will feature cross-group duels based on the final group standings.

The winners of each match will advance to the AmeriCup Semi-Finals. Argentina will look to defend its 2022 title, while Canada, Uruguay, and the Dominican Republic will fight for their first AmeriCup crown and Colombia for its first podium appearance. The United States is competing for its eighth gold medal, Brazil for its fourth, and Puerto Rico for its third.
