MUNICH (Germany) - The EuroCup Women Qualifiers tipped off on Wednesday night with Elitzur Ramle making a big statement of intent for the upcoming campaign.
The Israeli side proved unstoppable in the first leg of their Qualifiers tie with Proteas Voulas and will be big favorites to finish the job and wrap up their ticket in Friday's second leg.
Five star Ramle put one foot in the Regular Season
Five players posted double-digit scoring returns as Elitzur Ramle breezed to a 79-46 triumph at Proteas Voulas and moved to the cusp of a place in the main phase of this year's competition.
Putting on a show from the tip, once they got ahead, they never looked back. Shooting 60 percent from 2-point range, the Proteas defense had no answer.
Mehryn Kraker and Limar'i Thomas shared 28 points, Gili Eisner handed out 9 assists and Mikiah Herbert-Harrigan had an all-action 10 points, 8 boards, 3 assists and 3 steals.
