Six players to watch in the EuroCup Women Qualifiers

    Preview
Debora Carangelo will lead Italian side BDS Dinamo Sassari again after impressing in the last two seasons

It's time to put these players on your watch-list as the battle to make the Regular Season begins.

MUNICH (Germany) - The curtain is ready to be raised on the EuroCup Women Qualifiers and that means an opportunity for plenty of ballers to show their skills and do what it takes to shoot their respective teams into the main phase of the competition.

Here are just six of the talented players who could be ready to light it up and seal the deal for their respective clubs.

Emily Bessoir - Lointek Gernika Bizkaia

    FORWARD

    Birth Date: November 19 2001 (23 years old) Height: 1.92m (6ft 4in) Nationality: GER

A superb addition for Gernika, Bessoir will make an eagerly anticipated debut in the competition and hopes will be high that she can have a big impact. The versatile Germany national team player made everyone sit up and take notice with a dazzling FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025 this past summer and there's every chance she will be a big favorite at Gernika if she can continue that rich vein of form.

Debora Carangelo - BDS Dinamo Sassari

    Guard

    Birth Date: February 10, 1992 (32 years old) Height: 1.69m (5ft 7in) Nationality: ITA

A brilliant leader of her team and so underrated in many respects, Carangelo will once again carry her team forward as they look for a Regular Season return. The Italian playmaker has posted some exceptional displays and numbers with Sassari in the past couple of EuroCup Women campaigns, so don't expect anything to change as she has the veteran know-how to excel once again.

Reka Dombai - TARR KSC Szekszard

    Guard

    Birth Date: September 16, 2002 (22 years old) Height: 1.79m (5ft 10in) Nationality: HUN

Dombai is now beginning to mature and impress even more as a player and having transferred from Uni Gyor where she has spent all her career in this competition and also in EuroLeague Women, it feels like she will now be a real leader at Szekszard. Strong and skilled, the Hungarian national team guard will be a driving force for a team that will be big favorites to advance to the main phase.

    Marina Ewodo - SBS Ostrava

    Forward

    Birth Date: June 24, 1998 (27 years old) Height: 1.85m (6ft 1in) Nationality: CMR

The Cameroon national team baller impressed as usual when stepping out at the FIBA Women's AfroBasket earlier this year and that came off the back of some excellent cameos in EuroCup Women last season at Tarbes GB. Her move to SBS Ostrava gives the forward a mandate for an expanded role in this campaign and her smarts and strength will be a great addition for the Czech side.

    Ke'Shunan James - Panathlitikos Sykeon

    Forward

    Birth Date: August 14, 1992 (30 years old) Height: 1.86m (6ft 1in) Nationality: USA

The Greek underdogs are looking to put their name on the EuroCup Women map and with the strength in the paint of James, they have improved their prospects vastly. The frontcourt ace was excellent last season for Piestanske Cajky in the competition and poured in more than 16 points per game. That productivity could increase even further as the go-to baller for Panathlitikos.

Angela Salvadores - Lointek Gernika Bizkaia

    Guard

    Birth Date: 10, 1997 (28 years old) Height: 1.79m (5ft 10in) Nationality: ESP

A player who was a teenage sensation and in the last decade has played for an array of clubs in both EuroLeague and EuroCup Women, Salvadores switches from Estudiantes for a new challenge. Her scoring touch is her main asset and now with plenty of experience too, expect the guard to be the momentum-shifter and deal-breaker in the clutch for Gernika.
