Reigning champions Australia hand an opportunity to 21 players 

CANBERRA (FIBA U17 Women's Basketball World Cup) - The Sapphires are beginning preparations for the defense of their cherished FIBA U17 Women's Basketball World Cup crown after Basketball Australia announced a 21-player squad.

The team are heading into camp and looking to continue the stellar work from their predecessors, who reigned supreme on the top of the podium in 2017 in Zaragoza, Spain.
