Gameday 2 Top Performers: Meesseman, Lisec, Etute, Toure, Lundquist

MUNICH (Germany) - There were some stellar individual efforts during Gameday 2 of the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers with a number of stars lighting it up in a seriously big way.

Here are the five contenders who shone most brightly with their respective displays.

Emma Meesseman ensured Belgium recovered from their Gameday 1 loss to roar past Azerbaijan 136-28. In a phenomenal display, the forward was unstoppable and inked a jaw-dropping performance efficiency valuation of 56. That came from 31 points from a near 94 percent shooting night, 11 rebounds, 8 assists, 4 steals and 3 blocks.

Slovenia also started with a loss in their campaign but a towering show from Eva Lisec got them back onto a winning track. She starred with 28 points after shooting 86 percent from the floor in a 78-63 victory against Bulgaria. The center also came up with 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals.

Faith Ehi Etute continues to symbolize the growth of Luxembourg as the rising star erupted in the eye-catching 77-64 home win against Bosnia and Herzegovina. That put her team 2-0 and unbeaten in the group, helped by her dazzling double-double of 25 points and 14 rebounds, supplemented by 4 steals and 2 blocked shots.

France are rolling strong despite a lengthy absentee list, with Mamignan Toure highly impressive as they strode past Ireland 100-48. The guard led the way with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists to take her team to a pair of wins during the window. 

Klara Lundquist helped Sweden to start up their campaign with a pair of victories, their second being played out in front of noisy home fans as they rode past Denmark 76-69. The guard was electric throughout the contest and netted 28 points, as well as 5 assists, 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
