"Without a doubt, these three weeks have been only the first step for him in future selections for him in the national team." - Spain coach Sergio Scariolo
Diop, who impressed with Laboral Kutxa this past season in the Liga Endesa, shone for his country as a youth dating back to the 2011 U16 European Championship. He showed a lot of potential with some of the best players in the world as Spain prepared for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
"He has helped us a lot," Spain coach Sergio Scariolo said. "We are very happy with his performance and integration into the group.

Spain are now in Malaga preparing for a second consecutive warm-up game against Lithuania to be played on Thursday.
