Week 1 Top Performers: Hollingsworth, Neal, Omlid, Loncovic, Taylor

MUNICH (Germany) - The start to the FIBA Europe Cup Regular Season brought us nothing but tight endings and a wide cast of great individual efforts.

As has been the case before, fans have the chance to vote for their Player of the Week candidate in the poll below.

Taveion Hollingsworth was a standout performer with 25 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals for Petrolina AEK in their 78-76 effort against Rostock Seawolves. The guard made most of his opportunities by nailing 8-of-12 shots from the field and 7-of-8 free throws to finish with an incredible efficiency valuation of 39.


The ending wasn't as pleasant for Erick Neal who did his part in CSM CSU Oradea's 91-93 home loss against Patrioti Levice. Neal finished the game with 30 points, 7 assists and 4 rebounds, with his 31 efficiency spurred by an amazing 8-of-12 shooting from deep.

Tanner Omlid already made it known on Tuesday that he desires one of these spots as FC Porto beat the Norrkoping Dolphins 79-71 in the very first Regular Season contest. The forward gathered 25 points, 8 rebounds and converted 7-of-10 looks from three-point range, recording an efficiency rating of 32.

Travis Taylor and Keravnos BC suffered a home defeat of 80-95 against Itelyum Varese, however, the American filed a double-double of 16 points and 14 rebounds, with 4 steals to boot for 31 efficiency. Taylor led the gameday with most rebounds grabbed by a single player.
