FIBA Europe Cup Semi-Finals lineup finalized

MUNICH (Germany) - Four teams now remain in the battle to be crowned FIBA Europe Cup champions as the Semi-Finals lineup was confirmed on Wednesday.

Itelyum Varese and NINERS Chemnitz backed up victories from last week's first legs, while Surne Bilbao Basket completed the biggest comeback in Play-Offs history and Bahcesehir College also overturned double-digit deficit to advance from the last eight.

2022 champions Bahcesehir defeated FC Porto by 36 points at home in the second leg, and will next face former finalists Varese in the Semi-Finals following their two wins against ERA Nymburk.

Tournament debutants Bilbao wiped out a 19-point first leg loss to overcome Legia Warszawa by nine on aggregate to set a meeting with NINERS in the other two-legged encounter after the German side eased past Casademont Zaragoza.

The confirmed Semi-Finals pairings are as follows:

Bahcesehir College (TUR) vs Itelyum Varese (ITA)
NINERS Chemnitz (GER) vs Surne Bilbao Basket (ESP)

Four different nations are represented in the final four teams, with Bilbao aiming to become the first-ever Spanish team to win the competition.

The Semi-Finals are provisionally scheduled to commence with the first legs on March 27, before the reverse fixtures are set for April 3. Teams with the higher ranking from the Second Round - as per the Official Basketball Rules - earn home advantage for the second leg.

The winners of the two ties will then meet in the two-legged Finals on April 17 and April 24.
