Everything you need to know about who can still make it to the Second Round

MUNICH (Germany) - With two more gamedays to go in the Regular Season, only three teams can rest easy knowing they are assured of a place in the Second Round, as Ventspils, CSM CSU Oradea and Bahcesehir College booked their tickets to the next phase of the competition last week.

With 13 spots still up for grabs and most of the teams still in the running, the final two weeks of the Regular Season promise some exciting action in the FIBA Europe Cup.

SL Benfica could have clinched their place in the Second Round on Gameday 3 had it not been for their first loss of the Regular Season. The possibility of all four teams finishing with 3-3 records remains, while the top two spots could also be decided this week. PVSK-Veolia have it all to do as they head to Portugal, with a crunch clash taking place between Inter Bratislava and ZZ Leiden following their successes last time out.

With Ventspils in cruise control in Group C, all eyes are on the massive battle between Sigal Prishtina and medi Bayreuth on Wednesday with the chance to join the Latvians in the next round. The visitors know any victory guarantees their place in the Second Round, while Prishtina can qualify themselves or at least gain control of their own fate. Group D is for done and dusted. It's also a tale of contrasting fortunes for two Romanian sides. CSM CSU Oradea and Bahcesehir College are moving onto the next round with two games to go and meet on Wednesday to likely decide top spot. Fribourg Olympic and BC CSU Sibiu look to put their disappointment behind them with the latter aiming to break their duck.

Pinar Karsiyaka have begun to live up to their pre-Regular Season billing as one of the favorites after recovering from an upset to Spirou Basket in their opener. Phoenix Brussels are still alive, but their chances were weakened with a narrow home defeat last time and head on the road for their final two games, albeit this week's clash is a short trip to their Belgian counterparts. In contrast, Donar Groningen have the comfort of home support with two wins enough to secure their place in the next round with next week's battle with Spirou possibly being the decider.

Tuesday, November 19

Spirou Basket v Phoenix Brussels (Previous meeting: Phoenix Brussels won 104-101)

4 DNIPR BC Dnipro 4 1 3 25.0 346 364 -18 86.5 91 5

Tsmoki-Minsk are still in control of the group, but had somewhat of a wake-up call last time out as they fell to a first defeat in Bulgaria. BC Dnipro need to extend those road woes to keep their own hopes alive in one of two big games taking place in Ukraine as BC Kyiv Basket look to lock up a top-two finish as they come up against Levski-Lukoil.

Wednesday, November 20

BC Kyiv Basket v Levski-Lukoil (Previous meeting: BC Kyiv Basket won 83-76)
BC Dnipro v Tsmoki-Minsk (Previous meeting: Tsmoki-Minsk won 108-101)

4 BALK BC Balkan 4 1 3 25.0 314 349 -35 78.5 87.2 5

Enisey Krasnoyarsk defended home court three weeks running to move on the verge of the next round, while U-BT Cluj Napoca are close to making it two Romanian sides in the last 16. It's do-or-die for both Sodertalje and BC Balkan as they know that anything less than two wins will end their hopes, though head-to-head records will also come into play. One thing is for sure, we cannot have a four-way tie at the end of next week.

Wednesday, November 20

BC Balkan v U-BT Cluj Napoca (Previous meeting: U-BT Cluj Napoca won 92-80)
Sodertalje v Enisey Krasnoyarsk (Previous meeting: Enisey Krasnoyarsk won 99-78)

It is quite simple in that Bakken Bears and Egis Kormend both just need to win one of their final two games with Legia Warszawa and Kataja needing to win both to have any chance before any possible head-to-head tie-breaks.

Wednesday, November 20

Kataja v Bakken Bears (Previous meeting: Bakken Bears won 89-70)
