New Year's Resolutions: Strahinja Milosevic, Szolnoki Olaj

SZOLNOK (FIBA Europe Cup) - Over the last couple of years, Szolnoki Olaj forward Strahinja Milosevic has made himself a household name in the FIBA Europe Cup as a versatile all-rounder for the Hungarian powerhouse.

Having recently tied the competition's all-time rebounding record, the 33-year-old from Serbia ranks among the Top 10 players across the three main categories with averages of 17.7 points, 8.7 rebounds and an efficiency of 19.9 per game.

Strahinja is one of the players we asked to reflect on the past year and share his thoughts about what is just around the corner in 2019.

If you had to single out three personal important moments/experiences of 2018, which three would you choose?
As a basketball player, the most important moments in my life for sure come from basketball. I would say the most important ones are winning the Hungarian Cup and returning the trophy back to Szolnok as well as the national championship. The third one would be the successful start of a new season and maybe my personal record of 19 rebounds in a single game.

What will be your New Year's resolutions? Do you plan on making binding decisions for your life in 2019?
My New Year's resolution will be to stay humble and hungry for games that are coming up and continuing to play with passion and joy.

How do you plan to spend New Year's Eve and New Year's Day? Is there a typical celebration, food, tradition that you have for that day and will you be following it?
I plan to spend New Year's Day and Eve with my brother Marko and some of my friends, relaxing and getting ready for a new beginning.

If you were told that you get to fulfill one big dream or one big wish of yours in 2019, what would you choose?
I am trying to be realistic in my wishes and with both of my feet on the ground. My only wish would be to stay healthy and happy. And I wish that for everyone. Happy New Year, all the luck and health for you all!
