Semi-Finals tickets punched as France beat Italy in OT epic

KLAIPEDA / VILNIUS (Lithuania) - The Semi-Finals are set at the FIBA U20 Women's European Championship with France breathing a sigh of relief to be there after a thrilling overtime success against Italy.

Key Storylines 

- France take a dramatic 84-83 overtime win against Italy as star baller Carla Leite show's she's clutch and Oumou Diarisso delivers a double-double. Meanwhile, Matilde Villa is amazing for Italy in defeat.
- Spain worked hard to see off Israel 60-52, with every single player on the roster contributing to their points total.
- Serbia are celebrating making the top four after blasting past Turkey 70-46, fuelled by 23 points from Nevena Rosic.
- It was Latvia who took the last available slot as they eased out Portugal 58-49 as Vanesa Jasa netted 18 points.

Top Performers 

Matilde Villa had a bitter-sweet night as she missed out on the Semi-Finals with Italy but was the Top Performer of the Quarter Finals. She accumulated a performance efficiency valuation of 35 after putting up 25 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks in the overtime loss to France.

In the same game, France were mostly saved by a superb double-double of 14 points and 17 boards from Oumou Diarisso.

They also benefited from Carla Leite showing out with 28 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists, including some late and decisive interventions in overtime. 

Zsuzsanna Sitku starred for Hungary in their 67-59 win against Sweden in the Classification Games as she recorded 24 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocks.

Melinda Miklos was also excellent for Hungary and claimed 20 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists.
