Markovic, Mara impress for group winners; Round of 16 matchups confirmed

Top Performers

Not only did the hosts Serbia get to cheer for an 11-point win over Slovenia, but Bogoljub Markovic posted the highest efficiency of 32 as the forward scored 26 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and gathered 3 steals, while being a perfect 6-of-6 from two-point range.


Aday Mara
did more than enough to excel again for Spain; posting 23 points, 12 rebounds, 3 blocks and 9-of-10 shooting from the free throw line next to his name in the statsheet.

Even though Milan Stranel saw Czech Republic drop to 0-3 against Finland, he retained his status as one of the Top Performers with 17 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals, which was good for an efficiency of 28.

Shachar Doron led Israel past Sweden as the guard registered an impressive 31 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals on 11-for-19 shooting from the field - equating to an efficiency valuation of 26.


Last but not least was Vigo Bart - who also accumulated an efficiency of 26 - with his 23 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals on 9-of-15 shooting allowing Croatia to beat Poland and register their first victory of the tournament.
