Prince rules Round of 16 return leg to head Team of the Week

MUNICH (Germany) - Alexis Prince reigned supreme on Thursday, as she almost single-handedly lifted Tarbes GB into the EuroCup Women Round of 8.

The 24-year-old recorded a massive 34-point, 16-rebound double-double, as Tarbes erased their three-point deficit from the first leg with a 62-48 triumph over MBK Ruzomberok. Prince tied her own season-best efficiency ranking of 38 to earn Top Performer honors in the process.

The Round of 16 return leg saw two more French teams advance to the next stage, with BLMA pulling out all the stops to overturn their 19-point loss from the first leg at Reyer Venezia. A strong second half saw the hosts running away with an 83-60 win, with Ornella Bankole delivering her best game of the season. The 21-year-old finished with 25 points on 10-of-13 shooting as well as 5 rebounds and 2 steals.

Lyon ASVEL Feminin booked their ticket by completing the double over InvestInTheWest ENEA Gorzow with an 81-67 road win. Clarissa dos Santos continued her fine form with an all-action 16 points, 16 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and an efficiency of 30.

She is joined in the frontcourt by Galatasaray's Victoria Macaulay. The defending champions had to sweat it out against DVTK Miskolc but came out 69-65 winners to advance on a 146-141 aggregate score. Macaulay matched Dos Santos' efficiency mark with  24 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals and 2 blocks.

The Team of the Week is rounded out by Frida Eldebrink. The Sweden national team ace paced KSC Szekszard to an 86-60 win over Artego Bydgoszcz, good enough to turn the first-leg defeat on its head. Eldebrink went 5-of-8 from downtown on her way to 23 points, also adding 9 assists and 4 rebounds for an efficiency of 31.

FIBA
