Queen of double-doubles reclaims Top Performer throne

MUNICH (EuroCup Women) – Courtney Paris reminded everyone of why she is leading the statistical categories in efficiency after posting an outlandish double-double in the opening leg of the EuroCup Women Round of 8.

The Hatay BB center went 10-of-12 from the field en route to 20 points, while corralling the same number of rebounds to finish with an efficiency rating of 38, matching her personal season-high from Game Day 1.

More so, the 30-year-old American ensured her team would enter the return leg at home with a slight advantage after leaving Hungary with a 76-74 win in the bag.

While a road win by any margin is a feat on its own, Reyer Venezia went a step further and put one foot into the Quarter-Finals by dismantling Good Angels Kosice 89-68.

The Italians could rely on small forward Ashley Walker, who did it all on Thursday night, stuffing the boxscore with an all-round 19 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals for an efficiency of 29.

Filling the second forward position on the team of the week is Clarissa Dos Santos. The Brazilian post player had a bittersweet trip to Turkey, as her 18-point, 15-rebound double-double could not prevent Carolo Basket from losing to Mersin, 71-80.

The French side will get the chance to overturn the nine-point deficit next week when hosting the return game. Mersin, on the other end, will be hoping for their key players to repeat their performances and carry the team to the Quarter-Finals.

One of those players to stand out on Thursday was Serbia international Sasa Cado. The shooting guard collected 18 points, 5 steals and 3 assists to make the Top Performer lineup and is joined in the backcourt by Spar Citylift Girona's Nicole Romeo.

Girona cruised to an 85-61 win over Virtus Eirene Ragusa, with the 28-year-old guard finishing with a seemingly quiet, but highly efficient stat line of 8 points, 8 assists, 5 rebounds and 2 steals.
