Good Angels Kosice shine in dominant finish as five teams get off the mark

MUNICH (EuroCup Women) - Five teams recorded their first wins of the Regular Season on Thursday as seven teams maintained unbeaten starts.

Good Angels Kosice produced a strong finish as they pulled clear of Enisey for a 65-81 victory away from home.

It was a one-possession game late in the third, but the visitors quickly established a double-digit advantage and put up 27 points in the final period.

Darxia Morris led the way with 16 points with Barbora Balintova handing out 9 assists to go with 8 points.

Group A

TTT Riga and Olympiacos made it two wins from two ahead of their showdown in Greece next Wednesday.

Shey Peddy contributed 22 points and 6 assists as TTT Riga overcame Gorzow 79-73, while Olympiacos had four players in double figures as they defeated Besitkas JK 70-53

Group C

Gintare Mazionyte posted a 19-point, 10-rebound double-double to help Umea Udominate record their second win as they edged out Artego Bydgoszcz 74-70 on the road.

Meanwhile, MBA Moscow defended their home court with a 70-60 success over Sparta&k M.R Vidnoje as Ekaterina Sytnyak put up 17 points and 10 boards in the battle of the Russian sides.

Group G

There was a first win for VBW CEKK Cegled as Chanel Mokango impressed with 24 points and 11 rebounds in an 80-68 victory against Lointek Gernika Bizkaia.

"I was excited," declared Mokango. "We lost our first game in France, so we wanted to win so much.

"Gernika was my team last season so I wanted to help my new team and we killed it."

Spar Citylift Girona moved to 2-0 as they powered past Basket Landes for a routine 78-47 home win with 16 points apiece for Astou Traore and Nadia Colhado.

Group H

Teja Oblak showed her class in a 26-point haul to lead KSC Szekszard to an impressive 86-69 win away at Basketball Nymburk.

Virtus Eirene eased to their second win as they dominated GDESSA-Barreiro for a 76-45 triumph behind 24 points from Dearica Hamby.

Group I

Reyer Venezia took early control of the group with a hard-fought 68-58 success away at TSV 1880 Wasserburg with 6 players scoring 8+ points in the win.

Group J

Namur are the group front-runners following a thrilling 75-73 success against Saint-Amand, having come back from 11 points down.

Ronni Williams scored the final four points of the game to finish with a game-high of 23 points.

Two stellar double-doubles helped CMB Cargo Uni Gyor get their campaign up and running as they took down Nantes Reze 76-70.

Cyesha Goree led the way with 21 points and 14 boards, with Tijana Krivacevic adding 18 points and 10 rebounds.
