BERLIN (Germany) - Luka Doncic led the way in efficiency on Saturday as the Round of 16 opened in style at FIBA EuroBasket 2022.

Doncic marked a third consecutive game with 30+ points after finishing with 35 points as well as 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals to lead Slovenia past Belgium in an 88-72 victory to continue their title defense. 

Meanwhile, Rudy Gobert produced a dominant double-double with 20 points and 17 rebounds including a huge putback dunk to force overtime before France went on to prevail 87-86 in a thriller over Turkey.

There was a Spanish duo making the lineup as they helped their side to a hard-fought 102-94 success against Lithuania in overtime. Lorenzo Brown took over late in the game to finish with 28 points along with 8 assists, while Willy Hernangomez added 21 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists as Spain advanced to the Quarter-Finals.

Dennis Schroder rounds out the team after an all-round contribution with a team-high 22 points to go with 4 rebounds and 8 assists as Germany held off a fightback from Montenegro to win 85-79 in front of the home crowd in Berlin.
