Czech Republic put FIBA EuroBasket 2022 tickets on general sale

PRAGUE (Czech Republic) - Tickets for next year's FIBA EuroBasket 2022 games held in Prague have now reached general sale.

A variety of packages are now available to all fans following a pre-sale window to people who registered to have priority access for the Group D action from September 2-8, 2002.

Czech Republic will come up against Serbia, Poland, Finland, Israel and the Netherlands in the Group Phase action and they expect big numbers of traveling support in addition to their home fans having already sold more than 13,000 tickets.

"We would like to thank the fans for their interest in the ticket pre-sale, it was a pleasant surprise for us. It was clear that people really didn't want to miss their EuroBasket games," says Martin Peterka, marketing director of the Czech Basketball Federation.

"Having talked to the other national federations, we know that throngs of Finnish, Israeli and Polish fans are planning to come to Prague. I think that tickets for their games will be disappearing rather quickly, especially for the best and most expensive seats which were also the most popular among Czech fans."

Tomas Satoransky is expected to be one of the leading players on the Czech Republic team and the current NBA guard features in the ticketing campaign to put a spotlight on next year's major tournament.

"I was looking forward to the shooting because the tournament in Prague is a unique event worth investing energy into. We all want it to be perfect. EuroBasket is very close to my heart and it is great that we are promoting it so early because our dream is to sell out the arena," said Satoransky.

There are different ticket packages available: session and daily passes as well as an option to follow an individual team for all five of their games in Prague.

The following tickets can be purchased at ticketportal.cz:

  • Afternoon session - A ticket for the first two games of the day, including Czech Republic's game (from 980 CZK / €38)
  • Night session - A ticket for the final two games of the day, including Czech Republic's game (from 980 CZK / €38)
  • Day pass - A ticket for both sessions to see all 3 games in a single day (from 1470 CZK / €58)
  • Team pass - A ticket to see all of five games played by an individual team, either Czech Republic or one of their five opponents. These are available from 2450 CZK / €96)

Any remaining tickets will become available to the registered members of www.ceskodribluje.cz in early April 2022 before being extended to all fans from the second half of May 2022.

The Final Phase of FIBA EuroBasket 2022 will take place in the German capital Berlin, with the champions crowned on September 18, 2022.
