U16 Bronze Medalists Miranda, Sosa, and Rosa back-on for Puerto Rico in Centrobasket U17 C’ship
SAN JUAN (FIBA U18 Americas Championship) – The Puerto Rican National Basketball Federation (FBPUR) announced the 12-player roster for the Centrobasket U17 Championship, to be played in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, from July 26-30.

The team coached by Ivan Rios will be led offensively by FIBA U16 Americas 2017 Bronze Medalists Jermaine Miranda, Harry Sosa and Victor Rosa, who were instrumental in Puerto Rico’s successful qualification campaign to the FIBA U17 Basketball World Cup 2018.
During the Centrobasket U17 Championship, Puerto Rico will be part of Group A, along with Mexico, Guyana and Bahamas, and will need a top two finish to get into the Semi-Finals.
The top-three teams from Centrobasket U17 Championship will qualify to the FIBA U18 Americas Championship 2018, that will be played June 11-17 in St. Catharines, Canada.
