The champion left no doubts and took a new step

BUENOS AIRES (Argentina) - The memory of Quimsa lifting the trophy in the BCL Americas' first edition is still fresh and it has now begun the second edition with the same tone. It left no doubts and won a good match 81-75 against Universidad de Concepción from Chile.

"La Fusión" showed it's a candidate to repeat its title because it maintained its base and leaned on its stars to pull off a victory that became complicated in various stages of the match. It had such a well-distributed scoring sheet that all 11 players that stepped onto the court scored.

The most surprising aspect was the difference between the substitutes' performance, with 37 points from Quimsa's bench against only 4 points from Universidad, which was dominant on the paint with Brandon Moss, who had 22 points, 6 rebounds and 6 blocks.

The Argentine team began winning after its started to defend harder and when it showed its intelligence in always giving an extra pass on the attack.

This Monday, the Chileans will have a very difficult match against Sao Pablo, one of Brazilian basketball’s entertainers. Quimsa will play its second match on Tuesday.
