How can these Americas teams claim their World Cup tickets on the last game day?

MIAMI (United States) - There's only one more game day left in the Americas Qualifiers with a total of five World Cup spots to claim..

The only national teams from the Americas that have already qualified for the World Cup are Canada and USA, leaving only five more tickets with only one more game to go for each team.

The best three teams of each group qualify. The best fourth team of the two Groups, based on record (W-L) and global +/- on all World Cup 2023 Americas Qualifiers games will also qualify.

Here is what each team that can still qualify has to do:

Venezuela vs. Canada - 20:10 local time (GMT -4)
Argentina vs. Dominican Republic - 21:10 local time (GMT -3)
Panama vs. Bahamas - 19:10 local time (GMT -5)

If any of the following teams from Group F - Puerto Rico, Mexico, or Brazil lose the last game, Venezuela, Argentina and Dominican Republic are qualified.

If Puerto Rico, Mexico and Brazil win their last games in Group F, then the following scenarios are possible :

Venezuela

If Venezuela defeat Canada, they are qualified. 
If Venezuela lose, they can still qualify: 

  • If Argentina lose. 
  • If Dominican Republic lose and if Venezuela’s margin of defeat is 18 points or less than Dominican Republic’s margin of defeat  
    • For example if Dominican Republic lose by 14, Venezuela could lose by 32 or less to qualify. 

Argentina

If Argentina defeat Dominican Republic, they are qualified. 

Dominican Republic

If Dominican Republic defeat Argentina, they are qualified.  
If Dominican Republic lose, they can still qualify: 

  • If Venezuela lose and if Dominican Republic’s margin of defeat is 20 points or more than Venezuela’s margin of defeat  
    • For example if Venezuela lose by 32, Dominican Republic would have to lose by 12 or less to qualify.

Brazil

If Brazil win, they are qualified. 
If Brazil lose, they can also qualify: 

  • If Puerto Rico win and Mexico lose
