MIAMI (United States) - International basketball is quickly approaching as the third and final window of the first round of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 Americas Qualifiers tips off on June 30.

The window will be played until July 4 (with an off day on July 2) in several different countries including Venezuela, Uruguay, Panama, Colombia, the Virgin Islands, Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico, the Bahamas and Cuba.

These games will be crucial for teams who are still fighting for the last three spots in the Second Round, as well as other teams looking to gain and carry momentum into the next round.

Will undefeated teams continue their run, or will other teams finally knock them off? Are we in for any unforeseen upsets?

Mark your calendars for these six exciting, notable upcoming matchups:

You can subscribe to watch the FIBA Basketball World Cup Americas Qualifiers on Courtside 1891, while you also can find out more about any geo-restrictions here.

Venezuela vs. Argentina (Group A) – June 30

When: 19:10 (GMT -4)

Where: Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela (Gimnasio Luis Ramos)

This is the first game of Window 3 and what a way to kick things off. Venezuela currently sit atop Group A at 4-0 with Argentina trailing them at 3-1. Venezuela won the first matchup on the road in Buenos Aires 71-58 and will be looking to repeat that success in this second game, while Argentina on the other hand, will be looking for some redemption.

The winner of this game will have a good chance to finish first in Group A and be in a strong position heading into the Second Round, but both teams will be eyeing a win here to keep their foot on the gas heading into the next round.

Colombia vs. Chile (Group B) - June 30

When: 20:40 (GMT -5)

Where: Barranquilla, Colombia (Coliseo Deportivo Elias Chegwin)

This game could very well decide who gets the third and final spot up for grabs from Group B. Chile won the first matchup 90-76, so Colombia need to win this second game by at least 15 points to claim the head-to-head tiebreak over Chile and give themselves a chance to advance.

On the other hand, if Chile complete the sweep with another win over Colombia in this matchup, they will claim the third spot in the group and advance to the Second Round.

Colombia named several key players to their preliminary roster for their upcoming final two first round games including Braian Angola, Hansel Atencia, veteran Juan Tello and Jaime Echenique, who could be making his Senior Men's National Team debut. If all of these players are on the 12-man roster, Colombia will give Chile all they can handle and make a strong push at qualifying for the Second Round.

Panama vs. Paraguay (Group A) - June 30

When: 19:10 (GMT -5)

Where: Panama City, Panama (Arena Roberto Duran)

The situation is straight forward for this matchup. Panama currently has the upper hand over Paraguay after they won the first game 81-59. It's an uphill battle for Paraguay due to the steep margin to overcome, as they need to beat Panama by at least 23 points to still have a chance to qualify to the Second Round. They would be eliminated with a loss.

The question as to whether they can pull off an all-time shocking upset will be answered in a matter of a few days.

Virgin Islands vs. Bahamas (Group C) - July 1

When: 19:00 (GMT -4)

Where: Saint Thomas, Virgin Islands (UVI Sports and Fitness Center)

Like the Colombia-Chile and Panama-Paraguay games mentioned above, this matchup between the Virgin Islands and the Bahamas will also likely decide who finishes third in Group C.

Bahamas won the first matchup 86-74, so Virgin Islands need to win this game by at least 13 points to still have a chance to qualify to the Second Round. Bahamas, meanwhile, will advance with a win. Both teams will be leaving it all on the court with everything to play for in the battle between these two Caribbean nations.

Bahamas missed out on qualifying for the Second Round in the last World Cup cycle, as they were edged out by Virgin Islands by one game, so Bahamas likely want to change that result this time around.

Dominican Republic vs. Canada (Group C) - July 1

When: 19:10 (GMT -4)

Where: Hamilton, Canada (First Ontario Centre)

Both teams have already clinched their spots in the Second Round, but this game could decide who finishes first in Group C.

Canada (4-0) has dominated in their four wins, winning by an average of 33 points per game and averaging 101.8 points per game, which leads all teams in the qualifiers. Their closest game came against Dominican Republic when they won 85-79 back on Feb. 26.

Similarly, Dominican Republic (3-1) has also showed well in their three wins, winning by an average margin of 30.3 points, with their closest game coming in the loss against Canada.

Canada (27.3) and Dominican Republic (25.5) are scoring more points from turnover than any other team in the qualifiers and they are the two teams that are also averaging the most points in the paint per game (38.5 each).

This should be another exciting matchup between two teams that will feature several talented players.

Puerto Rico vs. Mexico (Group D) - July 4

When: 20:10 (GMT -4)

Where: San Juan, Puerto Rico (Coliseo Roberto Clemente)

Both teams are through to the Second Round, but the winner of this matchup will likely be in good shape to finish second in Group D.

Mexico took down Puerto Rico in the first matchup back in November, 90-86. If Puerto Rico can find a way to win this second game by at least 5 points, they will then own the head-to-head tiebreak if the two finished tied.

Both teams have the potential to have talented rosters for their final two games in this window, which should make for a great game and a great finish to Window 3, as this is the last game on the schedule this round.
