Jovic, a key player in the Serbia side that finished runners-up at FIBA EuroBasket 2017, missed the first two Qualifiers through injury but is playing again and is in the group of players that will be coached by Aleksandar Dordjevic.

In addition to influential veterans from the November World Cup Qualifiers including Miroslav Raduljica, Marko Simonovic, Ivan Paunic is promising youngster Stefan Peno, who had 17 points and 9 assists in the 105-87 triumph over Georgia on November 27.
Paunic was one of the pleasant surprises for Serbia after being absent from national side since the EuroBasket 2015 qualifying campaign. He had 16 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals in Serbia's 85-64 triumph over Austria on November 24 and then 8 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and a steal in the victory over Georgia.
Raduljica, who missed last summer's EuroBasket through injury, was in dominant form with 28 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals against the Georgians.
One of Serbia's top players in the November Qualifiers, Bayern Munich's Milan Macvan, was lost for the season when he tore his left ACL in late January.
