BURGOS (FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 European Qualifiers) - Spain have announced that Burgos will host the country's first home World Cup Qualifier on November 26 against Slovenia.

The Spaniards will open their campaign at Montenegro before taking on Slovenia, the country they fell to in the Semi-Finals of FIBA EuroBasket 2017.

The Slovenians went on to capture the title for the first time while Spain defeated Russia in the Third-Place Game.

Spanish Basketball Federation President Jorge Garbajosa said Burgos "is a city that is experiencing tremendous growth in its passion for basketball with the promotion of its team (San Pablo Burgos) to the Liga Endesa and with the visits of the men's team, first for preparation games and now with an official meeting."

Spain will also in the First Round take on Belarus in Group A.
