Tickets for New Zealand's third window games go on sale

AUCKLAND (FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Asian Qualifiers) - Both of New Zealand's third window Asian Qualifiers fixtures will be held at home and tickets for the two games are now available.

New Zealand face Hong Kong on 28 June before taking on China on 1 July.

New Zealand will host Hong Kong at the Energy Events Centre in Rotorua, which can hold up to 3,500 fans and is the home venue for the netball club Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic.

Three days later, the Tall Blacks play host to mighty China in Auckland's Spark Arena, which has a 12,000-strong capacity crowd and is the home of the New Zealand Breakers in Australia's National Basketball League.

New Zealand are entering the third window as the top team in Group A thanks to two big road wins over China and Korea in the second window. The Tall Blacks beat China, 82-73, in Dongguan and finally defeated Korea, 93-84, in Seoul.

If New Zealand can win both of their games in the June-July window, they will remain on top of the group with a 5-win, 1-loss mark and strengthen their chances of making it to the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019.
