Lebanon record a convincing win over India

BEIRUT (FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Asian Qualifiers) - Lebanon started their FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Qualifiers campaign with a convincing 107-72 home win over India.

The returning Ahmad Ibrahim showed what the team was missing this summer as he led the scoring charts with 22 points in addition to 10 rebounds. Wael Arakji meanwhile, who dazzled his home fans with flashy moves, ended up with 13 points and 6 assists. As for India, Brar and Singh both scored 13 each.

Lebanon started strong and had a commanding 55-27 lead at half-time. India improved a bit after the break but Lebanon never really looked like surrendering their big lead.

It's Jordan next for Lebanon, while India will host Syria at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru on 26 November 2017.
