Eight new faces in Angola's provisional squad for third window of African Qualifiers
LUANDA (FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 African Qualifiers) - The Angolan Basketball Federation on Thursday announced a 12-man provisional squad for next month's FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 African Qualifiers action.
Only four members of the Angolan team - Yanick Moreira, Gerson Domingos, Divaldo Mbunga and Alexandre Jungo - that won all three of their Group C games in November have been added to the group that will be part of a training camp set to start on May 28 in Luanda.
Meanwhile, a number of promising stars like Egidio Ventura and Aldemiro Joao are part of a group of eight players trying to convince head coach Will Voigt and, in the process, chasing their first major appearance for the eleven-time African champions.
