FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Qualifiers Draw set for June 8 in Bengaluru
BEIRUT, Lebanon – The FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Qualifiers Draw will take place on Saturday, June 8, in Bengaluru, India at the Shangri-La Hotel Bengaluru.
As an important step towards the FIBA Asia Cup 2021, the Draw will be featuring special entertainment performances as well as featured guests to be later unveiled. The procedures of the draw will be made public in the days leading up to the event.
The Draw will be grouping the 24 qualified teams before starting the FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Qualifiers. There will be 8 teams eliminated during this process, leaving 16 teams to play at the FIBA Asia Cup in 2021. This will be the first time ever that teams will be playing through qualifiers to proceed towards the FIBA Asia Cup.

The 24 teams that will be drawn are the 16 teams from FIBA Asia Cup 2017 and 8 teams that qualified through the Pre-Qualifiers from both West and East regions in 2018.
Teams qualified from FIBA Asia Cup 2017:
Australia, Iran, Korea, New Zealand, China, Lebanon, Philippines, Jordan, Japan, Syria, Iraq, Chinese Taipei, Qatar, India, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan
Teams qualified from FIBA Asia Cup Pre-Qualifiers
Western Region: Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Bahrain, Sri Lanka
Eastern Region: Guam, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia
FIBA
