Whitmore wins U18 Americas MVP; Bordon, Allette, Dos Santos, Ware headline All-Star 5

TIJUANA (Mexico) – Cam Whitmore was named the Most Valuable Player of the FIBA ​​U18 Americas Championship, which ended Sunday at the Zonkeys Auditorium in Tijuana, Mexico.

The United States forward put on a 30-point performance at the gold medal game against Brazil, the highest individual score in the tournament, and also had a double-double with 12 rebounds.

Kel’el Ware (United States)

At 2.14m tall, he constantly changed shots and his opponents were hesitant to attack the rim because of his presence. He averaged two blocks per game and 7.0 rebounds. On the offensive side he averaged 14.6 points, many which were alley-oop plays, in just 19.4 minutes per game.
