Strautmane was on fire last year in Sopron at the FIBA U18 Women's European Championship, when she proved to be the team's heartbeat on their historic run to the Semi-Finals.

She finished as the tournament’s leading shot-blocker and racked up an eye-catching five double-doubles during her seven outings.

Luize Septe is also ready to shine after pouring in 14.3 points per game, as well as leading the side in assists in Hungary.

Septe competed at last year's historic appearance by Latvia at the FIBA U17 Women's Basketball World Cup and is likely to be joined by the core of that team, with the likes of Aleksa Gulbe, Nikola Ozola, Sabine Lipe and several others included in the squad.

Latvia will play Canada, France and Korea in the first phase.
