Mikhailovskii, Ershov among nine U18 returnees called by new Russian boss Pashutin for U19 training camp
MOSCOW (Russia) - Nikita Mikhailovskii and Aleksandr Ershov were among nine players from Russia's U18 team last summer called into training camp for the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup 2019.
MOSCOW (Russia) - Nikita Mikhailovskii and Aleksandr Ershov were among nine players from Russia's U18 team last summer called by new national team coach Evgeny Pashutin into the 17-player training camp for the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup 2019.
Mikhailovskii earned a spot on the All-Star Five of the FIBA U18 European Championship 2018 for the fourth placed finishers Russia as he averaged 16.3 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.1 assists while Ershov collected 12.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists.

The other seven players to help Russia to their best U18 continental showing since 2012 were Dmitrii Kadoshnikov, Makar Konovalov, Anton Kvitkovskikh, Vladislav Odinokov, Aleksandr Petenev, Aleksandr Shcherbenev and Konstantin Shevchuk. Two other players have experience with Russia's youth national teams as Valentin Rogkustov played at the FIBA U16 European Championship 2016 and Ilia Sorokin appeared at the FIBA U16 European Championship 2017.
The breakdown of the players by club has Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar with five players while CKSA Moscow and Avtodor both have four players and Khimki Moscow Region has placed three in the player pool with the other player from Zenit St Petersburg.
Russia are back at the U19 World Cup for the first time since 2013 and the country finished third in 2011. Pashutin's team will take on Argentina, hosts Greece and Philippines in Group C.
