Nine Lithuanians return from U16 Euro final team
KAUNAS (2016 FIBA U17 World Championship) - Lithuania kept together the core of the team that qualified for the 2016 FIBA U17 World Championship as coach Gediminas Petrauskas nominated nine players from the U16 side on his 12-man roster.
Tadas Vaiciunas will serve as captain for the Lithuanians, who have been drawn in Group B along with Argentina, Mali and hosts Spain.

In addition to Vaiciunas, also coming back to the team from last season are Tomas Balciunas, Elvis Juozaitis, Lukas Kisunas, Vitalijus Kozys, Ignas Sargiunas, Lukas Uleckas, Grantas Vasiliauskas and Arnas Velicka.
The three new players who convinced Petrauskas to select them are Julius Daugela, Paulius Poska and Domantas Vilys. Both Balciunas and Vilys are under-level players born in 2000.
