HONIARA (Solomon Islands) - All Star 3 have been named following the second edition of 3x3 at the Pacific Games.
Elianna Tuaiti - Cook Islands
Backing up her performance at the 5x5 the previous week, Tuaiti was outstanding, playing a pivotal role in the Cook Islands undefeated run through the 3x3 competition group stage. Her ability to drive to the rim, and continually bring defensive pressure was elite. In her first Pacific Games appearance, the 23-year-old still has plenty to offer - look out Tahiti in 2027.
Haihere Ching-Bellais - Tahiti
The 16-year-old Tahitian point guard weaved some serious magic for team Tahiti on the way to their first Pacific Games 3x3 gold medal. No stranger to the gold medal podium, Ching-Bellais also featured in Tahiti’s 5x5 gold medal win at the Pacific Games, making it two gold medals at her first ever Pacific Games. In the 3x3 gold medal match, she finished with seven of the teams 11 points, six of those two pointers, guiding her team to that top spot on the podium.
Matila Vocea - Fiji
The former Fijian netballer has found her niche at the 2023 Pacific Games, shining bright at the 3x3 competition shooting 40 points across the four-day event. Her height, athletic ability, and intuition offensively and defensively, allowed her team to string together solid group wins, and the all-important semi-final win against New Caledonia. Heading home with a 3x3 silver medal to compliment her 5x5 bronze, we know Team Fiji will be back to chase that top podium spot in 2027.
