Groups confirmed for FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers

    MUNICH (Germany) - The groups for the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers have been set after the draw was conducted at the House of Basketball in Mies, Switzerland, on Tuesday afternoon.

    MUNICH (Germany) - The groups for the FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers have been set after the draw was conducted at the House of Basketball in Mies, Switzerland, on Tuesday afternoon.

    The field was split into nine groups of four teams with the four co-hosts of the Final Round - Czechia, Germany, Greece and Italy - already placed into Group I ahead of the draw in a modification to the competition system.

    The results for the draw are as follows:

    Group A: Spain, Croatia, Netherlands, Austria
    Group B: Hungary, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Finland
    Group C: Belgium, Poland, Lithuania, Azerbaijan
    Group D: Great Britain, Sweden, Denmark, Estonia
    Group E: France, Latvia, Israel, Ireland
    Group F: Turkiye, Slovakia, Romania, Iceland
    Group G: Serbia, Ukraine, Portugal, North Macedonia
    Group H: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Switzerland, Luxembourg
    Group I: Italy, Greece, Czechia, Germany

    Teams were the seeded based on the latest FIBA World Ranking Women, presented by Nike, with teams from Seed 1 drawn with teams from Seeds 4, 5 and 8 into Groups A, C, E and G, while teams from Seed 2 were paired with teams from Seeds 3, 6 and 7 into the remaining Groups B, D, F and H.

    All eight group winners will qualify alongside the best four second-placed teams who will be compared as per the Official Basketball Rules with all results in the groups being taken into account.

    The draw was live streamed on the FIBA YouTube channel.
