Volunteer registration now open for the FIBA Women's World Cup 2018!

The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2018 has opened the volunteer registration process. This is a great opportunity to be part of the world's biggest women's basketball competition and creating memories for life.

Hosted in San Cristobal de La Laguna and Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the Women's World Cup will see the best 16 national teams on the planet and their respective stars in action. In addition to the competition venues, there are two training gyms in Puerto de la Cruz and Los Realejos.

Four years ago, as part of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2014 legacy, the Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB) - and its long-term partner CaixaBank - joined forces in the development of the FEB-CaixaBank Volunteer Program, one of the best in Spain. This also enabled both parties to be more involved in corporate social responsibility activities.

Since then, more than 18,000 people have signed up on the program's website voluntarios.feb.es, a database that will also be used for the Women's World Cup. All volunteers registered are at the heart of all events organized by FEB and, in addition to being present at games, also assist in the setup of photo shoots, of training facilities, etc...

Several times a year, all registered FEB-Caixabank volunteers receive a newsletter informing them about upcoming events. There are also possibilities to enter into monthly raffles of team memorabilia and signed retail articles.

In 2018, the volunteers will be attending meetings across the Spanish territory to share their experiences and enjoy different basketball activities. The FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2018 will be a key event in their schedule.
