After an exciting day of Quarter Final Qualifications action, the lineup for the Last Eight of the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2018 has been confirmed.

TENERIFE (FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2018) - After an exciting day of Quarter Final Qualifications action, the lineup for the Last Eight of the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2018 has been confirmed.

The last four tickets for Friday's Quarter-Finals were snapped up by China, Nigeria, France and Spain.

A resurgent China relied on an array of headline performances to end a seven-year wait to beat Japan.  The 87-81 victory was founded on a strong effort from team captain Ting Shao.

Nigeria continued their historic run in the competition with a nail-biting 57-56 success against Greece to make the Quarter-Finals for the first time ever. However, there was the end of the road for another African side in Senegal, who were beaten 63-48 by hosts Spain.

Meanwhile, France - who haven't made it on the podium at the tournament in more than 60 years - are two wins away from ending that drought after safely despatching Turkey 78-61.
