Which teams can qualify directly to the Semi-Finals today?

BANGKOK (Thailand) - It is the last day in the Group Phase of the FIBA Women's Asia Cup 2023 Division B in Bangkok.

For some of the teams in each group, the stakes are high as they can clinch a ticket directly through to the Semi-Finals on 18 August - if they secure the top spot in their respective groups. The second-place and third-place teams in each group will have to earn their spots through a Qualification to the Semi-Finals round which will be played on 17 August.

That puts them one step closer to the Final on 19 August and, of course, the ultimate goal of gaining promotion to Division A of the FIBA Women's Asia Cup 2025.

Here are the teams that can secure the Semi-Finals spots from today's games!

Group A

IRI will qualify for the Semi-Finals if:
IRI win vs INA [/unordered] INA will qualify for the Semi-Finals if:
INA win vs IRI [/unordered] [/unordered]

Update: Indonesia have qualified directly to the Semi-Finals following the 65-56 win vs Iran. 

Group B

JOR will qualify for the Semi-Finals if:
JOR win vs KAZ [/unordered] THA will qualify for the Semi-Finals if:
THA win vs SRI AND KAZ win vs JOR by 39 points or less [/unordered] KAZ will qualify for the Semi-Finals if:
SRI win vs THA AND KAZ win vs JOR
or THA win vs SRI AND KAZ win vs JOR by at least 40 points [/unordered] [/unordered]
