How to qualify

The FIBA Women’s AfroBasket 2019 Qualifiers will tip off as of May 3, 2019 and over 20 teams will square off for a place in the Final Round.
How to qualify?
The qualifiers will be played in a Round-robin format with each team taking on its opponents. The top team of each zone qualifier will qualify for this summer’s FIBA Women’s AfroBasket.
To date Nigeria the defending champions, Senegal (runners Up), as well as Mali and Mozambique who reached the Semi-Finals in the 2017 edition are the only teams already qualified.
