FIBA WASL-Gulf League Season 2 Final schedule confirmed
BEIRUT (Lebanon) - The FIBA Regional Office-Asia on Tuesday, April 9, has confirmed the schedule of the 2023-24 FIBA WASL-Gulf League Final.
Game 1 of the best-of-3 title series between Manama and Kuwait Club will take place in on April 23 in Bahrain at 20:00 local time, marking yet another chapter between budding rivals after battling each other for gold twice in the pan-regional tilt's inaugural season.
Kuwait Club won the Gulf League crown by sweeping Manama and finished the Sub-Zone League undefeated in 10 games, but failed to bag home the ultimate prize when they bowed surprisingly to the Bahraini champions in a down-the-wire FIBA WASL Final held in Dubai, UAE.
Now, a tiebreaker of sorts will be taking place in the upcoming clash, which also features the first two clubs that have secured their tickets to the FIBA WASL Final 8.
Both teams forged a rematch after sweeping their respective opponents in the Semi-Finals. Manama were the first to reach the Final after ousting local rivals Al-Muharraq, while Kuwait Club went on to complete the picture following their dominant conquest of Kazma.
