FIBA WASL Final 8 Semi-Finals cast all set

DUBAI (United Arab Emirates) - The FIBA West Asia Super League (WASL) Final 8 Semi-Finals picture is now complete.

DUBAI (United Arab Emirates) - The FIBA West Asia Super League (WASL) Semi-Finals cast is all set.

Manama completed the four-team ensemble by way of an 86-75 victory over Beirut Club in the Group Phase closer Wednesday night, joining Al Riyadi, BC Astana, and Kuwait Club.

Astana and Kuwait Club were the first to punch their tickets following big wins over Shahrdary Gorgan and Shabab Al Ahli-Dubai, respectively, last 11 June.

But the Central Asia representatives are coming into the Semis as the no. 1 team of Group B after taking down the erstwhile unbeaten WASL-Gulf champions, 85-72, last June 13.

The 3-0 Astana will be taking on WASL-Gulf runners-up Manama in the next round.

Kuwait Club, on the other hand, are bound for a collision course against Al Riyadi in a much-awaited battle between the inaugural WASL sub-zone champions.

The WASL-West Asia winners clinched the top seed of Group A by conquering Manama and Beirut Club, in that order, to sweep their way into the Semis.

The knockout crossover Semi-Finals is on 16 June, still at the Sheikh Saeed Bin Maktoum Sports Hall.
