Venezuela name preliminary list for South American Women's Championship
CARACAS (FIBA Women’s AmeriCup 2019) - The Venezuelan Basketball Federation announced its preliminary list for the South American Women's Championship, that will be played August 30 to September 4 in Tunja, Colombia.

The preparation of Venezuela will begin on July 31 at the José Joaquín Carrillo in Parque Miranda, and they will travel to Colombia on August 17, where they will try to better their performance on the South American Women’s Championship 2016, when they finished in second place.
Venezuela was drawn to Group A of the regional championship along with Paraguay, Brazil and Chile. Group B is composed of Ecuador, Colombia, Argentina and Peru.
The best four teams of the South American Women’s Championship will qualify to the FIBAA Women’s AmeriCup 2019.
