Media representatives are the eyes and ears of basketball fans all over the world.

This page provides useful information and resources essential to the work of members of the media at FIBA Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament (OQT) 2016 in Nantes.

Whether you are a press or an online journalist, a photographer or a broadcaster, we aim at supporting and facilitating your activities at the OQT.

ACCREDITATION
  • All media representatives, both local and international, wishing to attend FIBA Women's Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Nantes must have applied directly to FIBA via the FIBA Media Portal

    The submission of a media accreditation request will be possible after registration only. Should you already have an account, please use your email address and password to sign-in and select your event.

    The application period for accreditation to this event will open on Monday 2 May and close on Wednesday 1 June.

    You will be notified of the success of your application at the latest by Monday 6 June.

    We remind you that only professional members of the media will be considered for accreditation and that only applications completed and submitted online within the media accreditation application deadlines will be taken into consideration.

    The final decision to grant accreditation rests with FIBA.

  • Official Media Hotel

    Welcome to Nantes, France! If you are a media representative, we suggest the following hotel, ideally located :

    The Official Media Hotel is situated close to the train station (0.6 km) and not too far from the arena (5.8 km) and the airport (10.8 km).

    Several buses (C3 & C5, Monteil station) and a tram line (Line 1, Duchesse Anne – Château des Ducs de Bretagne station) are accessible near the hotel. You can also reach the arena by tram (Line 3).

    Room prices vary from €65 to €115, according to the days of the week (from 10 to 20 June):

    • Friday, Saturday, Sunday: €65 per night
    • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: €115 per night

    Please note that there will be additional charges for breakfast (€9.90 per person) and tourist tax (€1.30 per night per person).

    All prices are subject to availability. If you wish to book a room, contact directly the hotel and precise you are a media representative accredited to the FIBA Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

    Reservations are open until the 10 May. To book a room, a pre-payment will be necessary.

    Cancellations will be free of charge up to 23 May.

    Please note that the reservation of a room won’t guarantee you an accreditation for the competition.
